This is a growing complex with 3 quite small pools that have a mature look about them and 2 other man made style lakes that are quite big and useful for match fishing. There is a further pool that is being used for stock purposes. There is excellent accessibility to all pools and toilet facilities are available. They are close to the village and close to the road which makes for good security. The small pools are mainly for day ticket anglers although in adverse weather conditions the odd match is held on them. You will gather from that that they are sheltered from the prevailing winds so its somewhere to keep in mind when the gales arrive The complex is the brain child of Malc Ellingworth who had a love of wildlife, water and fish and he has provided a pleasant environment for the angler. There are a variety of birds on the water so be careful especially if considering using floating baits. The small pools have a good range of fish. The first one holds some good roach and they will often feed in the Winter. The middle pool which is the deepest, about 9 foot in places, holds all types including some big perch, one of 4lb was caught recently. There are also some big carp. The 3rd pool is fairly shallow so fishes better in the warmer weather and that also contains a varied range of fish. The car park overlooks all the pools so there is virtually no walking. Leave the car park and go straight across the road through a gate rind you come to the match lakes which house 35 and 41 anglers. Carp of all types including some Koi, crucians  tench, bream roach and rudd are stocked with the promise of further injections from the stock pool. The pegs are well spaced and again access is very good with a road way all round. These 2 lakes can only be match fished. The usual fishery rules apply. Barbless hooks. No boilies or trout pellets. Keepnets are only.allowed in matches. Charges. Day ticket on 3 small pools £4.00 Juniors/OAP/Disabled £2. There is an extra charge for a 2nd rod, a or £1 for the concessionary ticket holder Charge for the match pegs is £5.00. There are concessions for sizeable numbers booking a pool.
