The latest British Waterways canal supply reservoir to be given the Drayton look. Following on from the success of both Drayton and Clattercote. The smaller reservoir at Stockton will provide 66 swims, all easily accessible from a wooden walkway. Each swim has its own platform with facilities for bank sticks and umbrellas. There is even the Blue Lias pub very close offering food and toilet facilities Some fishing took place in the Autumn of 98 but the main season commences in 2000. There is a good stock of carp, tench, crucians and chub. If it follows Drayton it will only be a matter of tirne before big match weights are a feature of this water. The chub will help the Winter fishing as they will bite when water temperatures go down. There are no keepnets unless in matches which have to be booked in advance. Barbless hooks are a must. It lies between the villages of Stockton and Long Itchington. from Rugby take the A426, go through Dunchurch and keep on for about 5 miles. Go over the canal and then take the next right at the crossroads, left for Stockton, right for Long Itchington.
